Pinecrest Football Team Trains with U.S. Army Rangers

Pinecrest Academy Varsity Head Football Coach, Todd Winter, his coaching staff and 43 football players were introduced to U.S. Army Ranger School Mountaineering Training in Dahlonega, GA, on August 7, 2013, thanks to SFC Gibson and 5th Ranger Training Battalion Instructors.

Training at the School consisted of confidence building, 30-foot wall rappel training, and an exercise in team building, which required crossing a one-wire bridge 25 feet above fast moving rapids of a river that runs through the Ranger Camp.

The Pinecrest football team and coaching staff also received two highly motivating talks from Ranger instructors who related their military service and need for team unity to the football field.
