Updated: 7-30-13, 3:05 p.m.

With great sadness, Friday, July 26, 2013, marked the early end to the life of Joe Edward Vaughn, 50, of Cumming, GA.

A good man, a caring son, a beloved brother and a friend to many, Joe died from a motorcycle accident in Gwinnett County.

Born in Cumming, on April 6, 1963, he was the son of John and Louise Vaughn of Cumming.

Joe graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1980 and worked for Stewart Brothers for 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a backyard mechanic with his father and cruises on his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his girlfriend, Sandi “Chunk” Bennett of Cumming; brother, Keith (Leslie) Vaughn of Alpharetta; sister, Virginia (C.D.) Anglin on Jefferson, GA; and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3, from 10–2 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. A motorcycle ride will follow the visitation – kickstands up at 2 p.m. at Good Ole Days, 419 Atlanta Road, Cumming, for a favorite ride in memory of “JoVaughn.” Afterwards, friends are invited to Good Ole Days at 4 p.m. to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org).
