In Memoriam: Reszutek

Obituary for the following resident of Cumming.

Jean Stella Reszutek, 93, of Cumming passed away on June 8. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Tadeusz and Frances Kanasiuk.

Stella married Edward Reszutek in 1943 and lived in Colonia N.J. for 34 years where they raised their family. She loved family gatherings and her lifelong hobby was knitting sweaters for family members. She also loved to dance and laugh. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Babcie with a generous and kind heart.

Before marrying, she worked at RCA in Newark, N.J. Later she worked as a bookkeeper for Allen Industries (Rahway, N.J.), Metuchen Country Club (Edison, N.J.) and for her brother’s tool and die company (Piscataway, N.J.).

Being a person of a strong faith, Stella was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church in Colonia; a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church in Toms River, N.J., where she lived after retirement. She also served as a member of the Rosary Society there. In most recent years she attended St. Brendan Catholic Church in Cumming.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings; sister, Helena (Theodore) Manders; sister, Matilda (John) Perry; sister, Theophelia (Edward) Schweikert; and brother, Theodore Kanasink.

Stella is survived by her husband, Edward Reszutek; son, Gregory (Margaret) Reszutek of Cumming; daughter, Renée (Raymond) Seney of East Nassau, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jason, Brendan, and Sara Seney.

Visitation will take place at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting, N.J. on Thursday, June 14 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, 130 St. Maximillian Lane, Toms River, N.J. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Toms River.
