Sheldon D. Grand, 80, of Cumming, GA died at home on August 10, 2013. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Wolfe E. Grand and Lillian Grand.
Shel graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, both undergraduate, and Law School, practiced law for 40-plus years, had a passion for all things mechanical, St. Louis sports teams, renaissance art, photography, and family. He was a true inspiration to those who knew him.
Shel is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Grand of Cumming; children, Steve and Susan (Ayasse) Grand of Berkeley, CA; Jerry and Ellen (McDonald) Grand of Cumming; and grandchildren, Hannah Grand, Shannon Grand, Darcy Grand and Henry Grand.
A memorial service and reception will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church in Johns Creek. A second memorial service will be held in St. Louis over Labor Day weekend.
