Letter to the Editor: Executive Order for Americans or Politics

President Obama plans to go around Congress (Senate and the House) and the AMERICAN PEOPLE by Executive Order granting work permits to illegals if they meet his predetermined requirement.

Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security secretary explained, "Young people who were brought to the U.S. will no longer be removed from the country. It is not immunity, it’s not amnesty, it’s an exercise in discretion. It streamlines enforcement of low priority cases involving productive young people." 

She is referring to youths brought to the U.S. before they were 16 and younger than 30. That encompasses 800,000 illegals and the youth factor creates Liberal voters for years to come.

"It’s a medium risk strategy," said Democratic strategist Jamal Simmons. "I think you risk angering people who are upset about immigration - yes, but for a PRESIDENT who’s got to win FLORIDA, NEVADA and COLORADO, it is definitely something that can give the Latino Community something to rally around."

Is the President’s executive plan an honest declaration to the American people?  This is an important question to self-answer before the 2012 November Presidential election.

I’m reading the new book by Mark Rogers - SMEARED - in which Mark singles out, “Men without conscience. Men without character. Men whose word means nothing. Men who say and do whatever is necessary to stay in power. Men who serve not their country but themselves. Men who lie and cheat without reservation. Men for whom the end always justify the means.”

He further writes, “Change is not always good. Progress is not always positive. Winning depends on what you do with the victory. If we win the arms race but lose our conscience and humanity in the process …” at this point I laid the book down and listened to the President’s - warm and fuzzy speech.

It is my humble opinion that this President has no concept of why illegals are here. They are here because of the Free Market, raising their children in the image of the Nation where their loyalty lies and exporting U.S. dollars to relatives in their homeland. If we were attacked by a foreign nation and the U.S. re-established the draft, the exodus would be astounding.
