Pay It Forward ....................

I received a heartbreaking email from a friend begging for help to get his life back on track, here is his brief story.………

Everyone loves a success story but, unfortunately there are so many stories that don't end with success. Having dealt with addiction myself, as well as dealing with other addicts, I have come to realize that the biggest factor in success is their true desire to change. I have seen many men enter drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and it is discouraging to see so many go back, only to relapse, because they honestly didn't really want a new life.

So nothing excites me more than when I come across someone who genuinely desires to change, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get that new life they are seeking. And over the past few months that is exactly what I have seen in Nate Kennedy. A true willingness to abandon what is easy in a pursuit of restoring his life to a place of purpose and love.

In high school Nate was an outstanding athlete, setting multiple weight lifting records, and on track to play division One Football. However, Nate got involved with drugs during his senior year of high school, which unfortunately caused him to lose, not only those great career opportunities, but also damaged relationships with everyone who loves him. He has continued to struggle with an addiction to methamphetamine.

Getting arrested in 2013 Nate had a drastic change of heart. He is now in a time and place where he strongly desires to stop using drugs, get healthy and reconcile all his relationships. But sadly he has become a victim of the “System”. He has everything he needs to succeed except the finances necessary to gain admittance into No Longer Bound, a very successful drug and alcohol recovery ministry that have personally set many men free of drugs and lead a normal life.
