What Would You Like to Hear the President Say in the State of the Union Address?

Do you think the president’s address will be a unifying one that will help move the country forward?

Advance information from various news organizations indicates President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday will be different to his inaugural address last month. According to ABC News, it is expected to focus primarily on jobs and the economy and will outline new initiatives. He is, however, expected to touch on immigration, gun violence and climate change.

ABC News reports new initiatives will call for more spending to get the economy moving, but the spending is expected to be modest and will likely be offset by spending cuts elsewhere.

What are you looking for in the president’s speech and what do you think he could say to help unify the country?

DING, DING, DING! It's official, for the 1000th time, the pot calls the kettle black. GGY, if nothing else, is consistent.

Mr. B, matt. 16:23 is very appropriate (being a stumbling block). I'm certain that there is also scripture at rejoicing at anothers downfall as opposed to helping to keep your brother from sin. Uh, the book of James concerning looking in a mirror. I won't continue as I don't want to start armagedon- lol. Those are just the thoughts that come to my head as I read these posts. I've tried to stick to things that stay with the original posts, ignoring personal remarks, and it's done me very well. In fact, when I scroll back, it becomes obvious who provokes and goads and looks silly in the process. Finger pointing extrordinaire! Racer X - pot calling the kettle? Good call. lol I've decided to look at my posts as something that I could show my Pastor or family. I doubt some could pass muster on that one.

Racer X - As far as governors, they have to work with a senate, other governors AND the federal government. It's really too bad that the qualifications for president did not use governance as a criteria. As much as I found a lot of disagreement with bill Clinton, I did notice his ability to work with boths sides of the asile and I guarantee you, that came from his experience as a governor.
