$50K Watch Stolen From SUV in Cumming

A second watch worth $15,000 also was taken.

Two days before Christmas, visitors from Florida became the victims of an auto burglary in Cumming and those responsible stole some highly valuable items.

A Cumming woman called police about 6:15 p.m., Dec. 23, to report items belonging to the two men from Cape Coral, Fla., had been taken in the parking lot of Los Rios, 580 Atlanta Road, Suite 12, in Cumming, according to the Cumming Police Department incident report.

The driver's side, rear passenger window of their 2012 Cadillac Escalade had been shattered.

An Audemars watch valued at $50,000, a Cartier watch valued at $15,000 and two Rolls Royce keys, each valued at $500, were among the items taken from inside the vehicle and a black leather duffel that had been in the floor board.

One of the victims could see from his table in the restaurant a white SUV he said pulled up beside the Escalade. Police collected blood evidence from the door panel under the shattered glass, according to the police report.
