Arrests Mount in Milano Jewelry Heist

To date a total of eight people have been arrested in what authorities refer to as a "criminal enterprise" in the Milano jewelry hesit.

Authorities have arrested two more suspects in the multi-million dollar jewelry heist that occurred early Sunday morning, Sept. 25 at .

Major Dan Jagoe with the Criminal Investigations Division of the said that more arrests were made last week by the fugitive and warrant unit.

Demetrice Orlando Jenkins, 36, and David L. Parker, 31, both of the Atlanta area were arrested and charged with burglary and theft by taking. Jagoe said Jenkins was arrested on Nov. 3 as he was leaving an Atlanta nightclub. Parker was arrested on Nov. 4 while reporting in at his probation officer's office in Covington.

"After several days of looking for them, they [warrant unit] worked a long time and really did a good job of tracking them down, and locating and arresting them," said Jagoe.

Investigators have been working tirelessly on the case since the incident occurred by following leads and evidence, according to Jagoe.

"As they got more evidence and more leads came in they were able to get enough to arrest these two," he said. "As a result of these two arrests we did recover some loose diamonds and some gold."

It is not known at this time whether or not the items were taken from Milano's.

"Of course we would like to think it is and hope it is, but we don't know until we get it confirmed," said Jagoe.

, Sheriff Ted Paxton said more suspects are being sought in the burglary and that all persons involved in the crime will be caught.

"We do feel like there's probably more and we're still working toward identifying those individuals and doing what we can to arrest them," Jagoe added.

Carl Henry Bowser III, 26, of Atlanta, was the first suspect arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at a residence in southwest Atlanta. In the same week authorities arrested Kenardis Holloway, 32, of Smyrna at an extended stay hotel in Stockbridge, Ga. all from Smyrna, were arrested at the home of Connie Holloway. at his residence on Thompson Road in Fairburn, Ga. (about 60 miles south of Cumming). All were charged with burglary and theft by receiving.

Investigators said during the early hours of Sept. 25, the suspects made their way into the by breaking into an adjoining vacant building and cutting out a hole. After gaining entry an estimated $2.8 million worth of merchandise and personal items were taken from the business.
