Car-Scooter Collision in South Forsyth Sends One to Hospital

Victim suffered broken bones, but no life-threatening injuries.

A 23-year-old man was transported to North Fulton Hospital in nearby Alpharetta Friday evening following a traffic collision near The Avenue Forsyth.

The crash happened around 8:24 p.m. between a motorized scooter and a car, according to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Robert Hunter Jordan, of Fort Myers, Florida, was heading southbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard on a motor scooter when he struck an Infinity driven by Robert Brian Bolick, 49, of Cumming.

Bolick, who was traveling northbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard, waited for on-coming traffic and then made a left turn into The Avenue shopping center. Jordan, who was operating a Chuanl LB150T-12 motor scooter, did not have his lights on and struck Bolick’s vehicle.

According to Cpl. David Garrison, Jordan was wearing his helmet. He remains hospitalized with broken bones, but no life-threatening injuries. Bolick and his wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were not injured.

It is not believed that alcohol played a role in the accident. The incident remains under investigation with charges pending.
