Cumming Belk Peeping Tom Suspect Arrested

Forsyth detectives arrested Randy William Wilson, 38, of Cleveland, Ga. on Thursday in connection with an incident that occurred at the Lakeland Plaza Belk in Cumming last weekend.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office announced Friday morning that a 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of Peeping Tom in connection with an incident that occurred at the Belk in Cumming last weekend.

Forsyth detectives arrested Randy William Wilson, 38, of Cleveland, Ga. on Thursday after receiving a tip as a result of the media coverage of the March 29 incident.

Upon the arrival of detectives at his residence on Thursday, Wilson fled the residence. After a brief foot chase, Wilson was taken into custody. In addition to the Peeping Tom charges, Wilson was currently on parole. He has also been charged with parole violation.

Last Saturday, deputies were called to the Belk in Lakeland Plaza in Cumming with a report of a man peering under the door of a female dressing room while a female was undressing.

The sheriff’s office released photos of the male in the store to the media. According to Detective Tyler Sexton, the release of the photos resulted in tips from the public, including a spotting of the suspect in another store at the Dawsonville Outlet Mall earlier this week.

Sexton said a tip from the public led to Wilson’s arrest. Wilson did have a prior Peeping Tom charge, according to Sexton.

Wilson is currently being held in the White County Detention Center with no bond.
