Cumming Driver Arrested After High-Speed Crash in Forsyth

Jason Duren has been charged with reckless driving, suspended license, no tag, and affixing a tag to misrepresent. Other charges are pending.

A man was ejected from a car during a one-vehicle crash around noon Tuesday on Heardsville Road. Speed reportedly was a factor in the accident.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Trent Anglin, 23, of Cumming, was tossed from a Honda CRX that rolled over three times after crossing the centerline near Watson Road.

Anglin suffered minor injuries and was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he was later released.

The driver, 33-year-old Jason Duren of Cumming, was traveling north when he lost control of the car, which collided with a mailbox and fire hydrant before hitting a tree. Heardsville Road was closed for about two hours while workers removed the badly damaged tree.

According to the sheriff’s office, Duren has been charged with reckless driving, suspended license, no tag, and affixing a tag to misrepresent. Other charges are pending after responding officers reportedly found a rifle and suspected methamphetamine inside the car.
