Cumming Man Charged With Child Pornography

Nicholas Sullivan surrendered to Gainesville Police Monday and has been booked into the Hall County Detention Center.

A 25-year-old Cumming man surrendered to Gainesville Police at the Criminal Justice Center in Gainesville Monday and was charged with possession of child pornography.

Gainesville Police Lt. Kevin Holbrook said Nicholas Sullivan was booked into the Hall County Detention Center after sexually explicit images of underage children were discovered on Sullivan’s computer.

Holbrook also said that Sullivan has just recently moved to the Cumming area from Gainesville and that the charges stem from computer activity that took place while Sullivan was living in Gainesville.

The incident is being investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies in addition to the Gainesville Police Department.

“We do work with a number of local, state and federal agencies, especially in cases like this which could involve the sharing of pornographic material,” Holbrook said. “These are often very lengthy investigations.”
