Cumming Man Irate, 'Flips a Bird' After Daughter Fails Driving Test
He allegedly also honked the horn and nearly side swiped a vehicle during another woman's road test.
A Cumming man apparently was not too happy with Department of Driver Services personnel after his daughter failed her driving test.
They say he became irate, nearly caused a traffic crash and made an obscene hand gesture following the Jan. 4 road test.
Police were called about 11:40 a.m. to the DDS office at 400 Aquatic Circle in Cumming about "an irate subject in the driving lot honking his horn," according to the Cumming Police Department incident report.
Sidney Joseph Bramblett, 51, of Timberlake Drive in Cumming, allegedly became irate, was very loud and caused a disturbance inside the testing center after his daughter made a sudden stop in the roadway and was almost rear ended during her driving test.
Bramblett was asked to leave the building and followed another vehicle out of the parking lot. He allegedly began following it very closely and honking his horn, and continued following the vehicle, which was occupied by a DDS employee and another woman taking her driving test. At one point, Bramblett allegedly nearly sideswiped the vehicle with his 2010 GMC Terrain SUV.
He then passed the car and flipped off its occupants using his middle finger in an obscene gesture.
Using information from the daughter's driving test records, police identified Bramblett and visited his home. He allegedly admitted to "shooting a bird" and honking his horn because he was upset DDS personnel had refused to explain why his daughter had failed.
He was issued a criminal trespass warning, and could be arrested if he returns to the DDS office.
