Cumming Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

He lost control of the motorcycle before it collided with a Chevrolet S-10.

A 38-year-old Forsyth County man died Saturday morning, Nov. 16, after he was involved in a collision on Hurt Bridge Road near Dishroom Road, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office press release. 

Deputy First Class Michael Nelson, a traffic specialist investigator, said Ryan Crane of Cumming was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Crane was traveling south on Hurt Bridge Road when he lost control of his Harley Davidson Sportster at 8:45 a.m.and was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet S-10 truck being driven by Thomas Mimms of Cumming.

Crane came off of the motorcycle before the collision with the Chevrolet S-10, the release says. 

Mimms was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
