Elderly Woman Dies from Injuries in Forsyth Crash

The 82-year-old Gainesville woman died at 5 this morning from injuries she suffered in a Tuesday crash with a cement truck.

An 82-year-old woman has died from injuries she sustained Tuesday in a crash on GA 400 at Bottoms Road in Forsyth County, according to a sheriff's office press release.  

She suffered "critical, life-threatening injuries" in the crash with a cement truck, which closed northbound lanes for about an hour, and had to extricated from her vehicle, Forsyth County Fire Department spokesman Jason Shivers told Patch.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Deputy First Class Michael Nelson, a traffic specialist investigator, said in the release Rose Marie Robertson of Bethel Road in Gainesville was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital this morning at 5.

Robertson was driving a 2008 Toyota Corolla. The crash remains under investigation.
