Thieves Steal 70 Push Up Bras from Victoria's Secret

This activity report is a selection of local incidents from April 25-May 2.

SWEETWATER SUBDIVISION- VEHICLES ENTERED

APRIL 30 – MAY 1, deputies were called to four different residences on Highpoint Road and Sweetwater Drive in response to items being stolen from their unlocked vehicles, which were parked in their driveways.

Sometime between April 30 and May 1 all vehicles were entered and items reported stolen were a 9mm Smith & Wesson gun with ammunition, a 32mm automatic pistol, mini laptop, three Garmin GPS, one Tom Tom GPS, four checkbooks and other miscellaneous items.

HOLLY BUSHES DUG UP

APRIL 30, a deputy responded to a dispatched call to Stonevalley Lane for criminal damage. The homeowner stated that twelve mature holly bushes planted two years ago had been dug up and removed from his property. He further stated that he had ongoing problems with the children in the neighborhood and suspected they were the ones involved in this theft.

VICTORIA’S SECRET ROBBED AGAIN (this time 70 push up bras)

APRIL 29, several prior incidents of shoplifting have been reported from on Peachtree Parkway. This call to the was concerning three females that supposedly entered the store and left without paying for 70 incredible push up bras. Video surveillance is being viewed to identify the suspects.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY USING AN EXPLOSIVE TO GAIN ENTRY

APRIL 29, the owner of Bukharaa Indian Restaurant met with a deputy concerning an explosion that happened at his restaurant. The owner stated he was inside the walk-in cooler in the back of the restaurant when he heard a loud boom around 11:45 p.m.

He went outside to discover a bottle with a foaming chemical inside containing pieces of aluminum foil had been thrown against the outside back wall of the cooler causing an explosion which busted off a small chunk of concrete. An investigation is underway.

HOME BUGLARY

APRIL 29, a deputy was called to Union Hill Road in response to a home being ransacked. The deputy gathered information on the items stolen which totaled approximately $5400. Force entry had been made through the back glass sliding door.

Items reported stolen were two TVS, one 32” flat screen and a 42” flat screen, a DVD player, a laptop computer, clothes, shoes, a Wii console and games, three gold necklaces and an undisclosed amount of cash.

VEHICLE ENDS UP ON TOP OF FIRE HYDRANT

APRIL 28, arriving on the scene of an accident on Waveland Drive and Cold Stream Drive, a deputy observed a Chevrolet Silverado pickup on top of a fire hydrant and a trash can.

Because of evidence on the scene and statements from the 19-year-old male it was apparent that the man was intoxicated. He stated he had been driving around trying to see how many trash cans he could hit while stopping along the way to steal mail out of several mailboxes. The deputy discovered the suspect had taken at least 18 pieces of mail from three different boxes.

He was transported to because of the accident and later released to the where he was charged with Theft by taking mail, DUI/Drugs, Striking a Fixed Object and Failure to Maintain Lane.

SMASH AND GRAB RESULTS IN THREE ARRESTS

APRIL 28, several deputies were dispatched to two different businesses that were broken into. The on Antioch Road and on Pilgrim Mill Road, both within just miles of each other were both hit.

One location at one of the stores deputies reviewed the surveillance tape and got descriptions of two black males. While deputies were in route to the second location they all noticed a four-door tan sedan leaving the area with a female driver and other passengers headed toward Georgia 400.

An alert was put out on the vehicle which later resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old white female, a 21-year-old black male and a 20-year-old black male. All three were charged with six felony counts of Burglary-Non Residence Force. . 

SHOPLIFTERS HIT PUBLIX TWICE IN ONE DAY

APRIL 27, a deputy was dispatched to Publix on Buford Highway in reference to shoplifting. When he arrived he met with a store employee who stated that while he was on the phone reporting the shoplifting event another employee advised him that another shoplifter was leaving the store.

The first suspect is a white male approximately 6’ tall, brown hair, 165 pounds wearing a striped shirt and tan pants. Employees saw the man take a plastic bag from a closed register and proceed to the frozen food isle and the meat department. He was approached outside of the store but fled in a blue 2002 Ford Expedition. They have video surveillance and the tag number of the vehicle.

The second suspect is a white male with blond hair wearing a blue baseball cap with a red bill. Employees stated that this suspect had gone to the deli counter and ordered two subs and then walked outside. Publix employees followed him at which time he started to run toward the intersection of Samples Road and Buford Highway where they lost him. Video surveillance is also being looked at for this suspect.

FIRE

Incident calls reported from the Forsyth County Fire Department for the week of April 25- May 2, were 211. Individual calls consisted of the following; two structure fires with no injuries, one vehicle fire, one brush fire, 135 medical emergencies, one gas spill, two natural gas leaks, four downed power lines, 2o cancelled in route calls, four authorized controlled burning calls, two smoke scares, 18 false alarms and one lightening strike with no injuries.
