A Forsyth County Schools assistant principal was recently arrested on charges of violating the controlled substance act.

The Forsyth County News reports that Matt Elementary School’s Rene Westray obtained a forged prescription at a local Kroger and turned herself in after an investigation began in early March.

She was released from the Forsyth County Detention Center on March 21 after posting an $11,110 bond.

The prescription was reportedly for 90, 10-milligram methadone pills.

Westray, who is on medical leave for the rest of the school year, has been employed with the district since 1989 and has been at Matt since 2006.

Don't count on it RK. You see there's a little thing called professional probation. It is a monitored program for doctors, lawyers, educators, nurses & all other professions requiring licensure. It allows the person to get help & OMG have a second chance. Why should she loose her income, her ability to support her family bc she made a single mistake in a 24 yr career? Well, the dept of licensing doesn't think professionals should always suffer this consequence. Look up the word grace...you may require some one day!

I did look up the word for Grace and it is about God's grace. I cannot give it to anyone because it is not mine to give. God gives me Grace everyday. I am a sinner but I am forgiven through God everyday. Now with that said, I don't care that this is how she supports her family. She made the decision to commit a felony and yes she made that decision. Should I forgive her as a person as A human being? No, besides she didn't do nothing to me. She doesn't need, require or any other form of forgiveness from me. I have not right to judge her and I am not. In fact I hope she comes through this strong and with the ability to learn from her mistake. However, she should find another job. One where it is okay for a felon to work and not where children are involved.

See that's where you wrong. We can all show others the same grace that our awesome God shows us everyday. After all, where would we all be with out Gods grace??? The Lord made us in his image and with in each of us is the ability to show each other the same love, compassion, forgiveness and grace that he has bestowed upon us.

Again I don't need to give her forgiveness. That would be her family, friends and close acquaintances. I can't give God's grace. It is not mine to give. That is why it's called God's Grace. Who are you to say I am wrong or right. No one. You believe what you believe and I will believe what I believe. But bottom line Mrs. Westray committed nothing against me personaly and I don't believe she is a bad person per say. All I am saying is she broke a major law. People want to try and blame others for their decisions etc. doctors, friends and anyone else that they can so they don't have to accept that they are the ones to blame. She deserves the love and support of her family and friends but she doesn't deserve to keep her job or position.
