Forsyth County Man Dies in Thanksgiving Wreck

The Sheriff's Office reports the single-vehicle crash happened on Hwy. 369.

A 21-year-old Forsyth County man died in single car crash early Thanksgiving morning on Hwy. 369, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Alex Owen Pagel, 21, of 8440 Bullock Lane, Gainesville, died in the crash, according to Cpl. David Garrison of the Traffic Specialist Unit.

Pagel was driving a 1985 Nissan 300ZX on Highway 369 at Reeves Road, when he lost control, left the roadway and hit a tree. Pagel was dead at the scene.

Garrison said that Pagel was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Pagel was the son of Janice Pagel of Gainesville and Mark (Cinde) Pagel of Cumming.

Alex graduated from North Forsyth High School.
