Forsyth County Men Land in Jail After Beating and Robbing Man

The victim was robbed and assaulted while stopped at an intersection in Hall County.

Three Forsyth County men are in custody following an alleged assault and robbery in northwest Hall County early Monday morning, authorities reported.

Hall County investigators arrested Cody Pierce Copp, 19, Roger William Brumbelow, 24, and David Paul Nance, 24. Each suspect has been charged with one count of robbery.

A news release stated, sheriff's deputies responded to the 2600 block of Dawsonville Highway around 2:30 a.m. Monday due to a robbery. When they got to the scene the victim of the alleged crime reported what happened to him.

The victim, whose name has not been released by authorities, told deputies that while he was stopped on East Sardis Road and Highway 53, two men got out of an SUV that was behind him and approached his vehicle. The victim said the two men assaulted him and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the scene. But it didn't end there – the victim said that he followed the SUV to a residence on Knight Road in Forsyth County before reporting the crime.

Investigators responded, along with deputies of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, to the residence where the victim identified three suspects involved in the incident.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the altercation and declined medical treatment.

An investigation is underway by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
