Forsyth's Most Wanted: Scott Allen Buffington
Authorities in Cumming are seeking information on his whereabouts on a felony probation warrant stemming from allegations he possessed meth and pot.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office maintains a list of Forsyth County's Most Wanted, people who have been accused of crimes, not convicted. They are presumed innocent until the court system settles their cases.
Suspect: Scott Allen Buffington, 31
- Description: Caucasian man standing 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
- Date of Birth: July 2, 1982
- Wanted For: Felony probation violation for alleged possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
- Aliases: Will Henson and Robert Dustin Ingram.
He was convicted of escaping from jail in Hall County in 2003, which followed convictions for a violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and thefts by taking in connection with a 2001 incident. He also was convicted of theft by taking in Floyd County.
Huffington served prison time at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification State Prison in Jackson from January to December 2002; December 2003 to July 2004; and January to February 2005, according to the department of corrections.
Anyone with information on Buffington's whereabouts should notify authorities of his location and that he is a wanted person by either:
- Calling 911;
- Calling the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office non-emergency line at 770-781-3087;
- Private messaging Forsyth County authorities via FCSO's Facebook page; or
- Calling Forsyth Crime Stoppers at 770-888-7308.
