Forsyth Firefighters Start 'Give Burns The Boot' Campaign Today

The annual charity event kicks off today in Forsyth County and continues on May 11 and May 18.

The Forsyth County Fire Department will join more than 100 other agencies in an effort to help burn victims.

The department today, Saturday May 11 and Saturday May 18 will take part in the annual Give Burns the Boot® annual boot drive, which benefits the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.

Firefighters will solicit donations at intersections throughout the county, which will be utilized for fire safety and prevention education, the support of medical facilities and help burn victims in their recovery.

This year, the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation will allow donors to contribute online at www.giveburnstheboot.org. There, residents can look for the Forsyth County Fire Department page and proceed with making their donations.
