Forsyth's Mounted Patrol Unit Finds New Home in Savannah
While Forsyth County Sheriff Duane Piper relieved the Mounted Patrol Unit of its duties earlier this year, the four horses recently found a new home in Chatham County.
The four horses that made up the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office's Mounted Patrol Unit have joined a new unit in south Georgia.
The four horses are now become part of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, according to Savannah news station WSAV.
The horses joined the department last month, bringing Chatham County's Mounted Patrol Unit to nine horses.
