GA 400 Motorcycle Wreck Kills Woman, Brother Charged

The female passenger was thrown from her brother's bike in one of many accidents near Cumming overnight Friday.

A female motorcycle passenger was killed in an early Saturday morning crash on GA 400 near Holcomb Bridge Road.

Roswell Police identified the victim as Sarah Howell, 28, of nearby Alpharetta. Howell fell off the motorcycle when it swiped a wall, and was hit by a car.  

The driver of the motorcycle, David Neil Howell, the victim's brother, was arrested and charged by Roswell Police with first degree vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and violating his motorcycle instructional permit.

Police are searching for a black 2005 Jeep Liberty they believe to be the other vehicle involved in the accident. The vehicle likely is damaged on the front passenger side. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Roswell Police at 770-640-4100.

AJC reported that during the night five people were killed in four separate accidents, around metro Atlanta, including another motorcycle crash on Cobb Parkway.
