Gotcha! Forsyth K9's Sali and Daisy Get Their Man

K9 units tracked down a male who fled from an accident scene.

From the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook on Thursday.

Yesterday, our K9 units tracked down a male who fled from an accident scene. Joseph Archibald fled from deputies after they arrived to investigate an accident that he caused.

Our patrol deputies were assisted by P.A.C.E., civil, community relations, and other units who set up a large perimeter and assisted the K9's.

K9 Sali and K9 Daisy tracked Archibald into the woods and through a creek. Thanks to their hard work, Archibald was located in the creek and arrested.

Archibald fled because he had an active warrant in Hall County for drug related charges and was driving on a suspended license. He was charged with obstruction of an officer, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, and failure to maintain lane.

Aquiel Banta, Archibald's girlfriend, was also on scene at the accident. Banta intentionally gave deputies a false name for Archibald to hinder their attempt to capture him. She was also charged with obstruction of an officer.
