Johns Creek Woman Dies Following Forsyth 2-Vehicle Crash
The collision occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says a 74-year-old woman has died as a result of the injuries she received in a two-car collision Thursday in the southern portion of the county.
According to Deputy First Class Mike Nelson of the Crash Investigations Unit, Nancy Yeakel, of Johns Creek, died at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell Thursday night after being involved in an earlier mid-morning crash.
The collision occurred at approximately 11 a.m. at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road.
Yeakel was driving a 2006 Toyota Avalon southbound on Johns Creek Pkwy when a 2013 Jeep Patriot, being driven by Eric V. Hasslock, 39, of Cumming, was traveling westbound on McGinnis Ferry.
According to preliminary reports, Hasslock failed to stop at a red light and his Jeep collided with Yeakel's Toyota, striking it on the driver’s side door.
Both Yeakel and Hasslock were taken by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital. Hasslock remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigations Unit.
