Local Restaurants Donating Proceeds to Injured Forsyth Deputy

On Monday, the Zaxby's on Canton Highway will donate 10 percent of its profits between 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Rush fund.

The Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy credited with helping prevent a horrific tragedy during the June 6 attack of the Forsyth County Courthouse, continues to recover from injuries suffered during a shootout with the attacker.

A fund has been set up at BB&T for those who wish to donate to the James Rush account that will help pay for any medical expenses not covered by workman’s compensation.

And local residents can also dine at select area restaurants in the coming days and have a portion of their bill donated to help pay for Rush’s recovery fund.
