The suspect was turned over to Hall County authorities after being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center on similar charges.
A man was arrested this week in connection with multiple crimes involving fraud and identity theft, authorities said.
David Lamar Beck, 51, of Sardis Road in nearby Gainesville, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation stemming from a January purchase of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a local business. Beck is suspected of purchasing the vehicle with a counterfeit check.
As investigators went deeper into the case they gathered enough information to secure a search warrant of Beck's residence.
