Man Caught 'Huffing' Aerosol Products at Cumming Stores

He was found unconsciouse lying in the woods with a can of air duster in his hand.

A man reported to have been lying in a Cumming parking lot was found by police unconscious in the woods with a can of air duster in his hand. He had apparently been "huffing" the fumes from the can.

Officers were called Jan. 10 about 7:15 p.m. to Market Place Boulevard to a report of suspicious person who was lying in the middle of a parking lot, according to the Cumming Police Department report.

Andrew Charles Fisher, 22, who is homeless, allegedly began fighting with an off-duty officer in the side parking lot of Pollo Tropical, then ran into the woods.

He was lying on his back in the woods when on-duty officers arrived and walked into the wood line.

"Fisher was unresponsive and (his) eyes were rolled to the back of his head with a can of Ultra Duster multipurpose air duster remover in his right hand. (A police sergeant) removed the duster from Fisher's right hand and (officers) began to drag Fisher up the hill in the woods," an officer wrote in the report. "Fisher became responsive and said that he could stand up and walk with us. 

"Fisher (was) unaware of what was going on. As we (walked) up the hill, Fisher (pulled) out a Zesty Salsa Pringles can from the front of his pants."

Earlier in the day, Fisher had been suspected of shoplifting at Walmart and Target and was escorted to the hospital due to huffing aerosol products from the stores, according to the report.

Fisher refused a second round of medical attention.

He was issued a criminal trespass warning and arrested and jailed on charges of loitering and public drunkenness.
