Mom, Son and One More Arrested in $2.8 Million Jewelry Store Heist in Cumming

Forsyth County Sheriff's Office have arrested three more people, including the mother and brother of one of the suspects taken into custody earlier this week.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three more people, including the mother and brother of one of the men taken into custody earlier this week. All five are suspected of burglarizing a Cumming jewelry story early Sunday morning.

Connie Holloway, 52, Michael T. Holloway, 35, and Amanda Hogan, 27, all from Smyrna, were arrested Thursday evening in connection with the burglary, according to a news release. They were arrested at the home of Connie Holloway.

Each one is charged with one count of party to the crime of burglary and theft by taking.

A search warrant was also executed at Holloway’s home and at another location in Clayton County.

Authorities report Connie Holloway is the mother of Michael and Kenardis Demaine Holloway. .

At about 3:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, authorities were called to located at 1245 Buford Highway in Cumming to find the store had been burglarized.

Investigators said the suspects made their way into the jewelry store by breaking into an adjoining vacant building and cutting out a hole.

Ibrahim Ehican, the owner of the jewelry store, told Cumming Patch $2.8 million worth of merchandise and personal items were taken from his business.

“This is still a very active and ongoing investigation,” said Lt. Col. Gene Moss, Enforcement Bureau Commander in a statement.

All five suspects are in the Forsyth County Detention Center and bond has not been set.
