More Than 25 Pistols, Semi-Automatic Rifles Taken During Cumming Burglary

The pawn shop's glass door was shattered while the front double doors of business remained padlocked with a chain.

A cache of weapons was taken Monday during a pawn shop burglary in Cumming.

Employees of Forsyth County Pawn at 211 Atlanta Road arrived for work at or before 8 a.m. to find the glass of the right door and a case holding guns shattered, according to the Cumming Police Department report.

At least 18 pistols, one revolver, one pistolo, a Mossberg shotgun, four semi-automatic rifles, described as AR-type weapons, and two additional rifles were taken during the burglary.

The front double doors of the business remained padlocked with a chain when an employee discovered the burglary about 7:15 a.m. A second employee called police at 8 a.m.

An detective responded to the scene and contacted the Forsyth County Crime Scene Unit to conduct an investigation.
