Police: DUI Driver Rear-Ends Forsyth School Bus

She was charged with DUI and following too closely in the 2:50 p.m. crash in Cumming.

A woman driving an SUV rear-ended a Forsyth County school bus Thursday, which led to complaints of injuries from two students on board.

Nina Lynn Amre, 55, of the Bentley Road area of Cumming, was intoxicated about 2:50 p.m., when she allegedly hit the bus on Campground Road, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman Doug Rainwater tells Access North Georgia.

The bus was loaded with students, reports the Forsyth County News.

Amre was charged with DUI and following too closely. The two students were checked at the scene by emergency medical personnel and released to their parents.
