Manhunt for Armed Robbery Suspect Continues

SWAT teams from both Forsyth and Alpharetta searched Saturday in Forsysth county for an armed man who was thought to be in the area of GA 400 and HWY 9 around Post and Bethelview roads.

Police from several jurisdictions continue looking to bring into custody an armed robbery suspect who was believed to have been in the south Forsyth county area on Saturday.

By mid-afternoon, the Forsyth County Sherriff's Office communicated on its Facebook page: β€œafter conducting an intensive 11-hour search of a 5 square-mile area, there is high probability the subject has left the area.”

A large contingency of deputies was to remain on patrol in the area as the search for Kinneth Battle continued Saturday night.

Battle and an accomplice reportedly robbed an Alpharetta BP station on Windward Parkway early Saturday morning. After fleeing in a Jeep Cherokee, one suspect was arrested hiding in the vehicle in south Forsyth county.

Battle, who is considered armed and dangerous, fled on foot, which prompted a large manhunt that included approximately 50 deputies and SWAT team members.

SWAT teams on Saturday morning are reportedly looking for an armed robbery suspect in south Forsyth County.

WSB-TV reports that SWAT teams from both Forsyth and Alpharetta are searching between GA 400 and HWY 9 between Post and Bethelview roads for the suspect.

The news outlet reported Saturday morning that two men robbed an Alpharetta business overnight and then drove their vehicle to a South Forsyth home where one man was later arrested. The other, Kinneth Battle, fled on foot and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
