Sheriff's Office Bids Farewell To Capt. Frank Huggins

New Public Information Officer takes over.

For the past 10 years Captain Frank Huggins has served as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, but this week retires.

In a statement to Cumming Patch, Capt. Huggins said, I have enjoyed our relationship over the past 10 years. Working with you has certainly been a pleasure for me.  It's never fun to report on someone else's misfortune, but the stories need to be told, and that we've done."

On January 1, 2011 Capt. Tim House takes over as PIO. For more than 20 years Capt. House has been associated with the Sheriff's Office as a Reserve and as a full time employee during Sheriff Wesley Walraven's tenure. "I am certain that Tim will prove to be a worthy PIO for you and will work hard to help you gather the information that you need for your stories," said Huggins.

Capt. Huggins goes into retirement with some down time in place for himself and adds, "As for me, my Harley, my girlfriend and I have a date for open roads. I'm going to chase rainbows and sundowns!"
