Single-Vehicle Crash Kills One in Forsyth County

The man's medical history may have attributed to the crash.

A Dawsonville man died Monday evening following a single-vehicle crash in Forsyth County, according to authorities.

Ricky Charles Crow, 48, was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram truck westbound on Doc Bramblett Road near Polly’s Bluff, when his vehicle left the roadway, traveled through a wooden fence for about 140 yards before slamming into a pine tree, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Chris Shelton reported in a release, that Crow's vehicle rotated counter-clockwise before stopping seven feet from the tree facing northbound.

The single-vehicle crash happened at about 7 p.m.

Crow had an extensive medical history and it appears that may have attributed to the crash, added Sgt. Shelton. Crow, the vehicle's only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene by Forsyth EMS personnel.
