House said the homeowner told authorities that he thought that Wesley had a weapon.

Within minutes deputies, S.W.A.T. and the Crisis Negotiations Team arrived on the scene.

House also said the homeowner had a remote security system "tied to his computer" that alerted the homeowner of the burglary.

According to a news release, the homeowner said he was watching Wesley, who he identified as his neighbor, on video inside his home. The homeowner was able to provide investigators with photos that showed Wesley forcibly entering the home through the back door and burglarizing the home.

House said the suspect would not leave the house nor would he respond with the negotiator, but after an hour or so, Wesley finally surrendered.

The stand-off ended around 2:30 p.m. No one was injured and no one else was in the house, but the area near the house was under a lockdown.

Wesley is suspected of burglarizing the same home on Tuesday, Sept. 13. During the first burglary a credit card was stolen. Authorities discovered that the stolen credit card was used at a nearby gas station and that the card was left at the station by the man that was using it.Β

Warrants have been issued against Wesley on burglary and Financial Transaction Card Theft for the Sept. 13 incident and additional charges are pending.

Wesley is currently being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center.
