Student from Cumming Found Dead in Athens Apartment

Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a call of a dead body found in an Athens, Ga., apartment on Feb. 6.

According to a police media release, George Yangz Hi Kuei, 22, was found dead in his bedroom by roommates at 909 East Broad Street. The Red & Black reports that the University of Georgia student is from Alpharetta.

Kuei's Facebook page lists Cumming as his hometown and him being a 2010 graduate of Alpharetta High School. 

The release said the Clarke Coroner’s Office also responded to the call, around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The release stated: “There were no apparent signs of a struggle or foul play. The body has been transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab for an autopsy.”

The investigation continues.
