Teen Killed in Forsyth Wreck; Driver Faces DUI, Other Charges

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday when a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup hit a telephone pole on Kelly Mill Road near Rockingham Run.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, one teenager was killed and another charged with first degree homicide by vehicle and DUI in a single-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. when a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup hit a telephone pole on Kelly Mill Road near Rockingham Run. Paul Louis Castell Jr., 17, of Dawsonville died at the scene. 

Castell, who was a rising senior at North Forsyth High, was reportedly not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the rear, passenger-side seat from where he was sitting.

In addition to the other charges, Adam Robert Joseph Di Millo, 17, of Dawsonville, was charged with underage possession of alcohol. As of Sunday evening, he was being held without bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center.

Two other occupants of the truck, Delton Cook, 18, of Cumming and a 15-year-old boy who was not identified because of his age, were taken to North Fulton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues and authorities say further charges are pending.
