UPDATED: Three People Are Dead In Mobile Home Fire

A fire claims the lives of three people and destroys mobile home Saturday night.

Three people are dead following a fire that broke out in a mobile home located at 8905 Little Mill Road in Cumming Saturday night.

Capt. Jason Shivers with the Forsyth County Fire Department said a passing motorist reported the blaze at 10:45 p.m. to Fire Station 8, located a 1/4 mile away, off Keith Bridge Road. Firefighters were on the scene within two minutes and found one half of a single wide mobile home engulfed in heavy fire.

"They made, of course, an aggressive attack and were able to knock the fire down--quickly," said Shivers.

During their primary search of the home, firefighters quickly found the bodies of the first two victims and removed them from the residence. A third victim was also found and removed.

"Unfortunately they were all fatalities," Shivers said.

A woman who lived nearby said she believed an elderly woman and her two sons lived in the mobile home.

According to a statement from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, investigators have identified the victims as Sue Iams, 77, Thomas Iams, 52, and Kimberly Iams, 47.

The fire, which destroyed the home, has been ruled an accident said Shivers.
