Also on Sunday afternoon, a 50-year-old man from Cumming, was killed in another vehicle collision, according to a news release.

Investigator Ron Tomblin of the said Rick Michael Luter, 50, of Whitmire Road was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Mary Jane Luter, 53, a passenger in the truck, was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, but since has been released from the hospital.

The accident happened around 4:05 p.m. on Highway 369 near the intersection of Sexton Road in north Forsyth County.

Ronnie George Pilcher, 36, of Gravitt Road, was traveling westbound on Highway 369 in a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 truck and apparently lost control of his vehicle. When he did, the truck skidded across the roadway, crossed the centerline and struck Luter's truck, a 2004 Ford F-250.

The impact caused Luter, who was eastbound on Highway 369, to lose control of his vehicle sending it down an embankment. The truck flipped over twice and landed on its top. Pilcher's truck came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway, the news release said.

Pilcher, who suffered minor injuries and taken to the hospital for medical clearance and a blood test, has been charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to maintain a lane.

The accident remains under investigation.
