Two More Arrested In Weekend Gambling Raid

Two more suspects have been charged with commercial gambling.

Four people have been arrested after a two-month investigation into illegal gambling in Cumming.

The latest suspects arrested were Ana Noriega who was charged with three counts of commercial gambling on Monday, and Mokaddes Khan arrested Tuesday morning on one count of commercial gambling, according to the Forsyth County Detention Center.

Over the weekend two men were arrested and charged in connection with commercial gambling following a raid at Hammond’s Crossing Exxon located at 3375 Keith Bridge Road and Save Money Food Mart at 3671-B Hutchinson Road, said Capt. Tim House with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office ().

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Vice Unit served two locations with search warrants on Saturday, March 26.

Arrested and charged with operating a gambling place and commercial gambling were Nahidul Hassan Khan and Mohammad Zahangir Alam. Alam was charged with two-counts of commercial gambling.

Investigators seized $11,816 at the Hammond’s Crossing location and $1,715 at Save Money Food Mart.

All four suspects have been released on bond.
