UPDATE: Worker Dies from Injuries After Being Crushed

A 37-year-old man suffered a crushed injury Friday while working at Lakewood 400 Antiques Market in Cumming.

Update (3:50 p.m. Tuesday)

A spokesman with the Georgia Department of Labor confirmed with Cumming Patch that OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) will conduct an investigation of the incident.

A 37-year-old man has died from his injuries after being crushed by a piece of machinery Friday afternoon while working at in south Forsyth.

When authorities arrived at the scene they found Jose Rodriguez of Buford, laying under a 'pill pusher' also known as a dye press, according to the incident report by the .

EMS attended to Rodriguez on scene before he was transported to North Fulton Hospital.

He suffered a crushed injury and died just after 8 p.m. [Friday, June 15], according Forsyth County Deputy Coroner Nickie Stockel.

It is not know at the time of this writing if OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) will be investigating the incident.
