County BOC Approve Zoning Requests

Forsyth County Commissioners met Thursday for less than an hour, approving a series of zoning requests.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners held one of its shortest meetings of the year Thursday night. With no items to discuss under Old Business, one public hearing and only a handful of zoning issues to act on, commissioners adjourned their meeting in less than one hour.

Before the board approved the minutes of the last meeting and the Consent Agenda by unanimous consent, Chairman Brian Tam announced that state Representative Mark Hamilton (R-24) had, on 9/11, presented the Board with the flag flown over the state capitol in honor of their service to the citizens of the Forsyth County.

"I was honored to accept this flag on behalf of the Board of Commissioners and the citizens of Forsyth County and the certificate that goes with it," Tam said. The flag will be displayed in the county commissioners meeting room."
