County Employee Recognized by Peers

The award was given to Procurement Director Donna Kukarola in recognition due to her contributions of time and energy to promote professionalism, membership and activities of the Georgia Chapter of the National Institute of Government Purchasing, Inc.

Forsyth County's Procurement Director Donna Kukarola was recently awarded the 2011 Outstanding Service of the Year Award by the Georgia Chapter of the National Institute of Government Purchasing, Inc. (GANIGP).

The award was given to Kukarola by her peers in recognition due to her contributions of time and energy to promote professionalism, membership and activities of the GANIGP.

Kukarola joined Forsyth County government in 1994 and has served as the director of the Procurement Department since January 2007.

She has been a member of the GANIGP for 10 years and has served on the organization’s board of directors for two years. She currently serves as the group’s public relations chair.

The Forsyth County Procurement Department administers the procurement process on behalf of the county government. The department works to obtain in a cost effective and responsive manner the materials, equipment, services and construction required for county departments in order for those departments to better serve residents and businesses of the community.
