E-Cigarettes to be Banned in Forsyth Parks & Rec Facilities?

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing in order to consider an ordinance amending chapter 50 “Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions” and chapter 54 “Parks and Recreation” of the code of Forsyth County, Georgia, at the Board’s meeting June 5, 2014.

The purpose of the public hearing was for public review and comment concerning an ordinance amending chapter 50 “Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions” and chapter 54 “Parks and Recreation” of the code of Forsyth County, Georgia by adding a new section prohibiting the use of e-cigarettes in county buildings and by extending the prohibition of smoking in park and recreation facilities to electronic cigarettes; to repeal conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes.

A second public hearing [on July 3] will be held on this matter.
