Forsyth County Commissioner Endorses Candidate for Coroner

Commissioner Todd Levent endorses Mary Beth Pais who is a candidate for Forsyth County Coroner.

Todd Levent, District 3 Commissioner is the first Forsyth County commissioner to publicly endorse a candidate for any elected office this year.

Levent announced recently in a news release that he is throwing his support behind .

"My wife and I have known Mary Beth for years. Her professional qualifications are unequaled in this race," said Levent. "The citizens of Forsyth County are blessed to have such a highly qualified individual who wants to serve as coroner. Mary Beth was trained in Medical Legal Death Investigations (MLDI) by some of the most prominent forensic pathologists in the United States. All we have to do is show our support and vote for her on July 31."

Pais, a registered nurse and faculty member at the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University, hopes to win the position being vacated by .

She holds Master's Degree in Education from Ashland University and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Cleveland State University. She trained in medical legal death investigations (MLDI) at St. Louis University School of Medicine and now serves as a volunteer pathology tech at the Alabama Forensic Lab in Montgomery.

"I couldn't be more honored to have his endorsement," Pais said in the news release. "Commissioner Levent has done a great job of representing the citizens of south Forsyth. His support is another reason why our campaign continues to build momentum."
