The Forsyth County Tea Party (FCTP) has endorsed its former chairman, Steve Voshall, who is running for State Senate in District 27.
During the party's monthly meeting on June 18, the FCTP unanimously voted to back the Republican candidate, according to a press release.
“Steve is the best candidate for the job," said newly elected Tea Party Chairman Hal Schneider in the release. "He is a fiscal conservative that has demonstrated his keen ability to manage finances – a quality the office of State Senate is in dire need of. Steve is a candidate with integrity and strong conservative values that will stand up for the people he represents.”
Voshall founded the FCTP in 2009 to advocate for conservative values and served as chairman of the party until his recent decision to run office.
Voshall, a conservative businessman with more than 20 years experience in the insurance industry, owns , based in Cumming. Atlanta Magazine has twice recognized Voshall as a 'Five Star Wealth Manager' for his outstanding customer service, integrity and expertise.
Voshall, and his wife, Stacey, of 21 years, have two daughters.

Schneider operates just like they do in red China or Cuba. The headline should read: Fidel Schneider announces his newest endorsements! Does this "endorsement" harm or help Voshall? Schneider is the chairman of the Tea Party that engineered the crooked, back room vote to endorse Jim Boff, the RINO district 5 commissioner. Boff is the least likely person in all politics, anywhere, to hold our principals dear. Schneider's choice of candidate, Boff, has the following accomplishments to be so proud of - 1. Boff to use taxpayer money to buy a golf course for his friends that live on the golf course. 2. Boff has supported more changes to laws that restrict property rights 3. Boff supported a county-wide law that set how high your grass could grow and you had to keep weeds out of your flower beds. Boff has not done anything of value while in office to help free enterprise, protect property rights or support personal responsibility. The only thing Boff has done is be Sncheider's mouthpiece on the water talks which is why Schneider endorsed him we suppose. Sorry Steve, you might be a good guy but an "endorsement" by Schneider's tea bag party means nothing and means I'll not be voting for you.
If that is the kind of leadership you admire, Mr. Redd, that speaks volumes about you!
Don't be silly, there is NO back room deals going on! I'm sorry you disagree with the Tea Party, but don't hold it against Steve Voshall for having one organization be behind him. He started the Tea Party, why wouldn't they endorse him?
Steve Voshall is a man with true leadership abilities, a small business owner who knows the rightful relationship between government and business is for government to get OUT of business' way!! If you want to look around for sinister intent, and you find it in the tea party in this county and NOT in the Jack Murphy/ RINO republicans in this county, well, I just gotta think you're either delusional or ignorant!! Or, maybe you're one of them....
