Forsyth Releases 2012 Annual Reports

Forsyth County has released its 2012 annual reports for its government and its Fire Department.

The reports recount the highlights of the preceding year, which projects were started or finished what both entities saw in terms of revenue, expenditures and service levels.

Both annual reports "serve to inform residents about their county and provide information on recent progress and accomplishments," the county said in a press release.

"It is with a great deal of pride we present this annual report as a means to better acquaint citizens with their county government and the many services and programs provided,” County Manager Doug Derrer said. “We hope this annual report serves to not only keep citizens up to date on their county but also provide additional means of transparency as to the county government’s operations.”

The Forsyth County Fire Department 2012 annual report has information on the department's divisions, facilities, apparatus and other things.

“We are very proud to present this annual publication to our citizens,” Fire Chief Danny Bowman said. “The goal of this publication is to present an easy-to-read statistical analysis of the precise manner in which the Fire Millage Tax is expended and show graphically where we are today, and plan to grow tomorrow.”
