Lambert High School Teams Receive County Recognition

The Lambert High School boys' varsity lacrosse team and boys' varsity soccer team were each presented with Resolutions.

Two teams from Lambert High School were recognized Thursday for their accomplishments during the 2012 season by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.

The Lambert High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team and boys’ varsity soccer team were each presented with Resolutions.

Each team finished the 2012 season with impressive performances, according to a press release.

The Lambert High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team finished their season with a record of 22-0 and has the longest active varsity-winning streak in the nation at 42-0.

The team is ranked number one in Georgia and includes three All-American players and six All-State players. On May 19, 2012, the team defeated Pope High School in the Georgia High School Association Class AAAA Finals and became the 2012 Georgia State Champions.

The Lambert High School boys’ varsity soccer team finished their season with a record of 23-0 and shut out their opponents in 16 of their 23 games.

The team is ranked number one nationally and is the 2012 regional and Forsyth County champions. On May 18, 2012, the team defeated Greenbrier High School in the Georgia High School Association Class AAAA Finals and became the 2012 Georgia State Champions.
