Portion of Parks Road to Close for Six Weeks

Temporary closure will allow for the construction of a box culvert at Six Mile Creek.

A portion of Parks Road from SR 306 to Burruss Mill Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning Monday, March 10.

The temporary closure will allow for the construction of a box culvert at Six Mile Creek. The road is expected to re-open to through traffic by Sunday, April 20, weather permitting.

The work is part of a traffic safety improvement project funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program, SPLOST VI.

β€œWe appreciate motorists’ patience during this temporary closure,” Forsyth County Director of Engineering John Cunard said in a news release.
